It's truly unsettling to see another young life lost like this. What really stands out to me is how close-knit the neighborhood around Frances and Sorin must feel. I’ve read that communities like this often look out for each other, which makes this tragedy even more shocking. Was there any community response? Any vigils or marches to raise awareness about violence in the area? I can't imagine how the families involved manage to cope with such devastating news. I'm hoping those who know something will step forward - silence shouldn’t be an option when it involves the safety and future of our youths. Keeping the families and the South Bend community in my thoughts as they navigate this painful path.

I've been thinking about how the community around Frances and Sorin Streets must be feeling right now. It’s scary when such violence occurs so close to home, and I can only imagine the fear and anxiety lingering in the air. I really hope the local neighborhood associations or groups come together to organize some peace walks or vigils. It might help to foster a sense of unity and courage in these tough times and act as a tribute to Malik Duncan’s memory. Just knowing people are willing to stand together can be so healing. If anyone hears of such events, please share. Also, is there anything specific the community or families need that we can all help out with? Sometimes focusing on support can make a world of difference.
