I was reading about the recent events in Morgan Park and the tragic loss of Quindon Vincent. It’s so difficult to process how a simple Wednesday evening could take such a horrific turn. My heart goes out to Quindon’s family and friends as they try to navigate through this terrible time.
What’s been really bothering me is the location—it’s close to both Prospect Gardens Park and Bohn Park, places that are typically associated with community and safety. It feels surreal to think that an area that many associate with peace could be marred by such violence. Several people have mentioned the vicinity to the laundromat, and I just can’t shake off the idea of how random and confusing it must have been for anyone nearby or just going about their evening errands.
I hope the police make headway in the investigation soon because the community needs answers, and Quindon’s family deserves justice. These senseless acts of violence have such deep repercussions, and I hope we can come together as a community to support those directly impacted.
