Hello everyone, I've been following the tragic case of the Monkey Space shooting in Stockton with a heavy heart, and I wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind. Amidst the chaos and heartbreak of that night, I can't help but think about the sheer terror and confusion that must have gripped everyone at the party, especially the kids. It's chilling to imagine how terrifying it must have been for all the children present, including little Maya and Journey, to witness such horror at what should have been a joyful celebration. It's gut-wrenching to know that Maya, who was so full of life and only weeks away from her next birthday, had her bright future so cruelly taken away. I dream of the day when the shooters will be brought to justice and hope the rewards offered will encourage someone with information to come forward. In the meantime, I'm sending strength and compassion to their families and the survivors who are undoubtedly struggling with the trauma of that night. Let's keep them in our thoughts and hope for some peace and justice for these little angels and all the victims involved. Take care, everyone.

I can't stop thinking about the impact of this tragedy on the children who were present. My heart goes out to Maya's friends and classmates at Aspire APEX Academy. It's hard to imagine the trauma they are grappling with right now. This event was a nightmare no child should ever experience. The loss of Maya, Journey, Amari, and Susano is immense, each one a bright light in their own right. It's heartbreaking that these young lives were cut short in such a violent manner. I’m really concerned about the mental health and well-being of the kids who managed to escape physically unharmed but were emotionally and psychologically affected by witnessing such violence. Often, the invisible scars are the hardest to heal. I hope the school and local support systems are stepping up to provide the necessary counseling and care for these young souls. We need to reassure them and remind them of the safety and love that still exist in their world, even after something so traumatic. Anyone familiar with Aspire APEX Academy know if they have counselors or support staff focusing on this? It would be comforting to learn they have resources dedicated to helping these children and their families navigate through this devastating time.
