I was reading about Daquawn Griggs' case, and something that stood out to me was the fact that it happened during a neighborhood block party. It's so unsettling to think about how a joyous community gathering can so quickly turn into a scene of tragedy. I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been for everyone present, especially for those who knew Daquawn. It just highlights how gun violence can invade places we typically think of as safe and communal. It’s a painful reminder that these events have long-lasting impacts, not just for the families directly involved but also for the entire community. Sending love to everyone affected by this senseless act.
