Daquawn Griggs, a 21-year-old resident of Buffalo, New York, was fatally shot during a neighborhood block party on Montana Avenue on July 5, 2015. The incident took place amid a gathering of community members, and Griggs’ death left many in shock. Cornelius Jones, a Buffalo man, was later arrested and charged with his killing.
