I've been following the Dawud Lawson case for a while now, and something that sticks with me is the lack of witness cooperation. It's truly frustrating to see how much this hinders progress, not just in Dawud's case but in so many others in Buffalo. I can't help but think about the fear some of these witnesses might be experiencing. Trust in law enforcement can be shaky, especially in communities dealing with high crime rates. I really hope that someone with information about that night on Box Avenue comes forward soon. Dawud's family deserves answers and closure. Would love to hear if anyone has insights or knows how we can support witness protection initiatives to encourage people to speak up.
