I’ve been following this case closely, and what continues to haunt me is how this violence took place so close to Alisal High School. Schools should be safe havens for our children, where their biggest worries are homework and exams, not violence on their doorsteps. I can’t imagine the fear and confusion Ethan's classmates and teachers must be feeling right now. Living in a neighborhood where gunfire could mistakenly be taken for fireworks speaks volumes about the environment these kids are growing up in. It's a stark reminder of the urgent need for community intervention and support to prevent future tragedies like this. If you or anyone you know has seen anything or heard anything about this incident, please reach out to the authorities. Ethan deserved a future, and his family deserves answers and justice. Let’s come together as a community to honor Ethan's memory and work towards a safer environment for our kids.
