I feel so devastated for Carl McDonald's family and friends. It's painful to think about how someone could be taken away so violently, especially in their own neighborhood. West Garfield Park can be a rough area, but this level of violence is just so disturbing. I can’t stop wondering why there were so many shots fired—31 evidence markers is a lot. Was Carl being targeted specifically, or did he just happen to be caught in the wrong place at the wrong time? I really hope the police are able to find some solid leads through any surveillance footage. Maybe somebody in the area saw or heard something that night. It’s frustrating to see another case stall out with no arrest, and the community needs to step up and help make sure that Carl's killer is brought to justice. If anyone has even the smallest piece of information, I hope they find the courage to speak up. Carl and his loved ones deserve answers and closure.
