I've been thinking a lot about how the community could do more to help solve these unsolved cases, especially the tragic murder of David Laguerre. It's incredibly frustrating seeing so many families waiting for justice while cases remain cold. I’ve read that in many urban areas, witness intimidation or fear of retaliation often results in people staying silent. I wonder if the authorities or local organizations have considered launching more initiatives to protect witnesses who come forward? Maybe increased support and assurance for those afraid to testify could actually encourage more people to speak out, providing the crucial details needed to solve these cases. It's devastating to think that vital information might just be out there, locked away by fear. My heart really goes out to David’s family and loved ones—as well as all the other families stuck in this cycle of waiting and wondering. It would be amazing if the Buffalo community came together to push for stronger witness protection, to ensure that those willing to speak up are safe and supported. What do you all think? Is there more that could be done on a community level to help encourage witness cooperation?

I wanted to touch on a part of David Laguerre's case that doesn’t often get the attention it deserves—the impact these unsolved cases have on the community as a whole. It's not just about bringing justice to David and Gary Hooser, but also about the sense of safety that’s been lost for everyone living nearby. When homicides like this go unsolved, it affects everyone’s peace of mind, and it can create an atmosphere where people are hesitant to even step forward with information because they fear for their own safety. I really hope that more people can find it within themselves to come forward and provide leads, no matter how small they think it is. Every little bit helps in getting one step closer to giving David's family, and the community, the answers they desperately need. Let’s not allow this to be just another statistic—David and Gary deserve so much more than that.
