I can't believe how senseless this violence is. Randell Jones was just 31 and had his whole life ahead of him. It's so frustrating to see yet another life taken too soon in this manner. I'm thinking a lot about the community's role in helping solve these tragedies. There's this idea that no one wants to be the "snitch," but we have to remember that sharing information could prevent more violence and help bring justice to Randell and his family. It's hard to imagine what they're going through right now, losing a loved one like this with no answers in sight. I hope anyone who might have seen or heard something that night near North 41st and West Lloyd comes forward to support the police. We have to help each other where we can. Peace and healing to Randell's family.
