I just came across some information about Kevin Hogue’s tragic murder on Hertel Avenue back in 2014. It’s devastating to think about how many families in Buffalo went through such turmoil that year. I read that his case still hasn’t been solved, and it makes me wonder about the impact on his loved ones, who must still be waiting for answers all these years later. The fact that Hertel Avenue saw multiple violent incidents in such a short period is concerning. It makes you think about how these unsolved cases affect not just the families but the whole community. I hope that increased efforts from the Buffalo Police Department and community involvement can eventually bring justice and some peace to Kevin’s family and all those affected. Does anyone know if that area has seen any changes since then, or if there have been any updates on other cold cases from that time?

I can't stop thinking about Kevin Hogue and what his family must be going through even all these years later. It's frustrating to see how many cases from that time are still unsolved. Hertel Avenue used to be such a lively street—I remember how it felt like the city was losing part of its soul when this violence started taking over. It’s deeply unsettling that Kevin's case, along with others from 2014, has gone cold. I wish there were more updates from the police or some breakthroughs. It just seems like for every solved case, there are still so many questions, so many families left without closure. Maybe sharing more and keeping these stories alive can spark someone’s memory or conscience. Let’s keep Kevin and his family in our thoughts and hope for justice.

Does anyone have any information or thoughts about the unsolved murder of Kevin Hogue on Hertel Avenue? It’s so frustrating to think about how his family is still waiting for answers after all these years. Even in a city that’s seen its fair share of violence, it's troubling that there are so many unsolved cases from 2014. Hertel Avenue, in particular, seems to have been a hotspot for incidents back then. I'm curious if maybe improving street lighting or increasing patrols might have made a difference in preventing some of these tragic events. Perhaps someone here has insights into what was going on in that area around the time that could help connect the dots. My heart goes out to Kevin’s loved ones as they continue to seek justice and closure for his senseless loss.
