I just can't wrap my head around the circumstances of this case. I grew up in Laredo, and it hits hard seeing familiar names like these in such tragic headlines. From what I've gathered about Anthony "Swisha" Sarmiento, he seemed like such a vibrant person; the kind who would light up a room with his energy. It's heartbreaking (in a word I promised not to use) to think about how his family and friends are feeling right now. I've been thinking about how motives can be so elusive and complex, even in seemingly clear-cut situations. It's puzzling that the police haven't released any info about the reasons behind this act. I find myself questioning how breaks in communication or misunderstandings can escalate to something so irreversible.
