I've been following the tragic case of Travis Thompson, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on his family and friends. I read somewhere that this was Greensboro's 40th homicide of the year—an alarming statistic that highlights the increasing violence in the area. It's so important that we don’t lose sight of the human stories behind these numbers.
I can’t imagine what Travis’s loved ones are going through right now. It’s just devastating to know that a life was cut short in such a violent way. I remember reading about some community efforts in Greensboro focused on preventing violence and supporting families affected by such tragedies. Does anyone have more information on how those programs are currently doing or how we might support them?

The 2400 block of South Holden Road—isn't that usually a pretty busy area? It's hard to believe something so devastating could happen there, right under everyone's noses.
