The fact that Yusuf Ali Salat reportedly claimed Sumaya shot herself raises so many questions, especially when considering that the gunshot wound was to her back. It’s hard to imagine how he thought he'd convince anyone of that story with the evidence stacked against him. Do we know if the neighbor got a good look at Yusuf during the incident, or was it more about hearing and putting the pieces together? I feel for Sumaya's family, who must be desperate for justice and answers in such a senseless situation. Cases like these unfortunately remind us of how quickly life can change and how fragile it is.
