I can't stop thinking about Kaitlin's young son. It must be unimaginably difficult for him to grow up without his mother, especially one who dedicated her life to protecting others. The community really needs to rally around him and Kaitlin's family during this incredibly tough time. I truly hope there are enough support systems in place to help ease his loss and offer him some comfort as he finds his way in the world without her. It's clear from how the community came together during her funeral procession that Kaitlin made a huge impact in her short time with the police force. Let’s not forget the importance of providing ongoing support to her little boy as he navigates this tragedy.
