I’ve been thinking a lot about the response by the IMPD officers who were first on the scene of the shooting that took Keymanee Rippy's life. It must be incredibly tough for them to arrive and see the aftermath of such a violent act, especially knowing a young life was cut short. My heart goes out to his family, especially his father, Walter Rippy, who dedicates his life to helping others as a first responder. I can’t imagine how he must feel being on the other side of a tragic situation like this. Also, the fact that Keymanee was one of eleven children just adds to the ripple effect of this tragedy. You just hope for peace and justice for his family. Does anyone know if there are any vigils or community gatherings planned to show support for his family? It would be great to turn out and offer some comfort to those who are suffering.
