Has anyone else noticed that cases like Jose Crespo-Venegas' seem to slip through the cracks all too often? It’s baffling how someone can just vanish without a trace, especially when they might have been caught in such a precarious situation as trying to cross the border. The fact that his family hasn't heard anything since 2009 is beyond troubling. How do we not have better systems in place to track these disappearances and help these families find some peace? Considering the risks involved in these crossings, why aren't there more resources dedicated to preventing these disappearances? It's frustrating to think about how many more families might be experiencing the same thing in this specific border region. Would love to hear others' thoughts or if anyone has ideas on how to bring more attention to cases like Jose's.
