I've been following the case of Deputy Terri Sweeting-Mashkow, and it has really gotten to me. I can't stop thinking about her impressive career journey and how much she contributed to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office over her 25 years of service. Starting as a dispatcher and moving her way up to being posthumously promoted to sergeant shows how dedicated she was. What truly fascinates me is her transition to the Legal Process Civil Unit, where she was handling tasks like serving writs and eviction papers—jobs that are probably underappreciated but vital. It's clear she took on her duties with compassion and professionalism, and her colleagues' praise for her "heart of gold" speaks volumes about her character. Her death was such a senseless loss, not just for her family and colleagues but for the entire community she served with such dedication. It's comforting to see the community come together for vigils and memorials, truly a testament to her impact. My thoughts are with her loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
