I’ve been following the case of Kiyochi A. Shaw’s tragic passing in Mamou, and something that keeps haunting me is the stolen gun aspect. It’s chilling to imagine how many stolen firearms could be circulating in this community and what that means for safety. I can’t help but wonder, could this entire situation have been avoided if that gun hadn’t been in the wrong hands? My heart goes out to Kiyochi’s family, as they grieve this unimaginable loss, compounded by the fact it might have been preventable. It’s a stark reminder of why gun safety and control are such critical issues we need to tackle together.
