Justin Bell, an 18-year-old resident of Lynwood, Illinois, was fatally shot on the evening of November 22, 2025, during an attempted armed robbery in the parking lot of the Walmart at 2500 W. 95th Street in Evergreen Park. The Cook County medical examiner ruled his death a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators say a silver Audi carrying three males pulled up to a man in the parking lot about 7:50 p.m. Two occupants allegedly exited armed with handguns and attempted to rob the targeted man. A struggle followed and one of the guns discharged several times, striking Bell, who police say was part of the group attempting the robbery. The Audi fled the scene; police describe it as having temporary Illinois registration and visible front driver’s-side damage. Bell’s associates later drove him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead between about 8:40 and 8:53 p.m.

Evergreen Park police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating. Authorities have released a description of at least one suspect as a Black male in a gray sweater and white shoes and are seeking the silver Audi. No arrests have been announced.

If anyone saw the silver Audi or the individuals involved that night, contact investigators with information.
