Has anyone else been looking into the border crossings near Sonoyta around October 2, 2009? I’ve been digging a bit, and it seems like that area was quite active around that time. There’s a lot going on with people moving back and forth, and it feels like it would be so easy for someone to slip through unnoticed. Especially considering the terrain and the amount of traffic, both legal and otherwise.
I’m curious if anyone has come across any records, official or otherwise, about increased activity or any unusual reports in that specific area during that period. Maybe something that could align with someone possibly crossing the border without drawing too much attention? Just trying to piece together itineraries or sightings around that time.
I recently came across the case of a person who likely crossed the border near Sonoyta, Sonora on October 2, 2009, and something really caught my attention. Has anyone else heard about the weather conditions that day? I read in a local archive that there were some pretty severe thunderstorms in the area at the time they went missing. It makes me wonder if the storms could have played a role in what happened. Could that have potentially slowed them down or caused them to take a different route? Just trying to piece together every little detail that might shed some light on the situation. Would love to hear if anyone has more information or any local knowledge about the region back then!
