Did anyone else follow the memorial service at St. Columba Catholic Church for the 2010 homicide victims? I feel like remembering these individuals, like Dominic Carter, is essential for healing and pushing for change. The image of those wooden crosses really stuck with me. It's vital for us as a community to not only mourn but also come together to address the violence that's affecting so many families out there. Every victim had a story, a family, and aspirations that were brutally cut short. It's important we keep talking about them and do what we can to help prevent future tragedies. Would love to hear if anyone else was there or has thoughts on what more can be done to unite our community against violence.
