It’s devastating to read about the tragic loss of Edguin Zelaya-Mendez, especially someone so young with his whole life ahead of him. I can't stop thinking about the fact that police were already at the complex for a noise complaint. Just imagine if they had been in the parking lot just a bit earlier. It’s chilling to think how close they were to possibly preventing this senseless violence. Also, with the investigation still ongoing and no suspects named, I wonder if there could be any connections to other incidents in the area or maybe something missed in the rush of that chaotic night. My heart goes out to his family; dealing with such a sudden loss is unimaginable. I really hope the community can come together and offer the family the support they desperately need while also keeping the pressure on for answers and justice.
