I've been following the tragic case of Alexa Acevedo, and one aspect that has really stuck with me is the sheer chaos of that night. It must have been absolutely terrifying for those caught in the crossfire and those nearby who witnessed the panic. It’s horrifying to think that Alexa, someone with such a bright future ahead of her, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It sounds like the police did what they could, but controlling a crowd of thousands, especially with tensions running high, seems like an almost impossible task. It makes me wonder how the city plans to handle future events to ensure everyone’s safety. With Halloween drawing such large groups year after year, there must be a way to increase security without dampening the spirit of the celebration. I hope city officials take this event seriously and implement measures to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again. My heart goes out to Alexa's family and friends, who are undoubtedly grappling with an unimaginable loss.
