Hi all, I've been thinking a lot about the location where this terrible incident happened—Ensley Park, 2609 Avenue K. It's troubling to me that a place meant for relaxation and community gatherings could become the site of such a grim event. Many of us take comfort in our local parks, seeing them as safe spaces, so I can only imagine how upsetting this must be for the residents who frequent Ensley Park. It's an awful reminder of how quickly things can change and how necessary it is for communities to come together to reclaim these spaces and ensure they remain places of peace. My heart goes out to Myca's family and everyone affected. A park should be a place for healing and peace, not violence. ? If anyone has ideas on how communities have successfully transformed troubled areas, I’d love to hear them.

I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy must be having on Myca Clark Jr.’s family. Losing a loved one so suddenly and violently is something no family should have to endure. I hope they have a strong support system around them during such a devastating time. It also makes me think about the communities we live in—and how they can be so deeply affected when something like this happens. Ensley Park is a place where families gather, and to have such violence occur there must be so unsettling for everyone who frequents the park. I hope this incident leads to community members coming together to seek peace and prevent further tragedies. My thoughts are with Myca's loved ones and everyone affected by this.
