I've been following the Woodlawn Manor tragedy and can't stop thinking about the bravery it must have taken for the surviving 17-year-old to seek help despite being injured. It’s often hard to imagine how anyone could manage to escape and call for help in such a dire situation. I'm so relieved he made it out alive, and I can't help but commend his courage. It’s incredibly sad that Kaliyah and her sister didn't get that chance. My thoughts are with their family as they try to face such unimaginable loss. Hopefully, the community rallies around them during this difficult time.

I've been following the tragic story of Kaliyah Houston and her younger sister, and it just really hits hard how this all started with an act of kindness. It's heartbreaking to think that the Houston family opened their home to Keshawn Woods, trying to help him get back on his feet, only for it to end in such a devastating way. As someone who grew up in a close-knit community, I know how important it is to look out for one another, which just makes this even more painful. It's truly unbelievable how quickly things escalated that night. I can't even imagine the fear and confusion that must have gripped everyone in that apartment in those horrible moments. The fact that several young children were there and unharmed physically is a small mercy amidst so much loss. My heart goes out to their family and the young man who survived. I hope he finds peace and healing in time. There's a lot to be said about keeping your loved ones safe and the unpredictability of letting people into your life. Wishing the family strength as they navigate the difficult path ahead and hoping justice is served for Kaliyah and her sister.
