I can’t stop thinking about the outpouring of love and support for Parker’s family. The local baseball community organized a memorial game in his honor, and it was truly moving. Seeing all the players with number 9 on their jerseys was incredibly poignant. It’s evident how much of an impact Parker had on everyone around him. The game was more than just honoring him; it was a way for everyone to come together, share their memories, and begin the healing process. Wishing strength and peace to those who knew him. I came across something moving that I think deserves a shoutout. I heard from a couple of folks at Myers Park High that Parker’s baseball team is planning to dedicate their next season to him. They've decided to have his number, 9, stitched into their jerseys as a tribute. From what I've gathered, he was such a central figure on the team, and they want to carry his spirit onto the field. There are even talks of organizing a special game in his name, with proceeds going to the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, the charity his family mentioned. Seems like a beautiful way to honor Parker’s memory and raise awareness at the same time. It's heartening to see teenagers rallying together with such compassion and purpose after something so tragic.
