I was reading about what happened to Deshawn Travion Mason, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. One thing that stood out to me was the silence from the community. It's understandable that people might be scared or unsure about speaking up, but it’s so important for anyone with information to step forward. Every detail, no matter how small, could help give Deshawn's loved ones some form of justice. West Garfield Park hasn’t been the safest neighborhood, and it's tragic to see another young life taken. Deshawn was just 23, with so much potential ahead of him, and now all that remains is a painful memory. If anyone here is from the area or knows individuals who might have seen or heard something, please encourage them to talk to the authorities. Let's hope that this unfortunate event can at least spark some change or awareness about the violence that keeps plaguing our communities. Stay safe everyone.
