Does anyone else feel uneasy about the area around 5th Avenue? I’ve lived in Decatur for a few years, and it's always seemed like a quiet neighborhood. It's shocking to hear about what happened to Dontay Jamar Garner. Can’t imagine what his family is going through right now. I hope they find some comfort in knowing that the police acted quickly in this case by arresting a suspect so soon. Just as important as bringing the perpetrator to justice, it’s reassuring to hear that they believe it wasn’t a random act. Still, it makes you wonder what led up to this tragic event. What went so wrong that things escalated to such violence? Thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. Stay safe, everyone.
