Has anyone else noticed the incredible bravery and dedication shown by the officers on scene, especially under such volatile and dangerous circumstances? My heart goes out to Officer Henry Franklin's family and colleagues. Responding to a situation involving a barricaded suspect is truly one of the riskiest duties law enforcement officers face. It speaks volumes of Franklin’s commitment to keep his community safe, knowing he was stepping into harm’s way. It must be such a difficult time for the Sikeston Department of Public Safety as they grieve while still trying to protect and serve the community. I hope the community continues to rally around them and Franklin’s family, offering the support they clearly need. Sending strength and condolences to all affected by this tragic event.
