Hey everyone,
I was scrolling through the recent discussions on Keeondray Sterling's tragic death and realized something deeply unsettling about some of the venues being used these days. It's like these storage-unit "event venues" have become spots where people gather without any real safety measures in place. This isn't the first time there's been trouble at the Greensboro Avenue spot, and it's concerning that it's being rented out for after-hours events where things can get so out of hand.
I've been reading up, and Keeondray’s case isn't the only instance of violence at these kinds of places. The police say this particular venue witnessed another killing earlier this year. It's really making me rethink the idea of using these venues for just about anything, knowing that two lives have been lost at the same location.
I can't imagine the pain Keeondray's loved ones are experiencing right now. Thinking of his family and friends as they deal with this loss. Does anyone else think there should be more oversight for places like this, or maybe even a reevaluation of how they're used? Just hoping we can all see safer times ahead.
