Hey everyone, I wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind since hearing about the tragic loss of Izell Leonard, AKA YCA, who was so senselessly taken from his family and community. Reading through the stories his friends and fans have shared, I've noticed many mentioning his unique style and how he was really trying to make a positive impact through his music. It just feels so cruel that someone who was dedicated to uplifting others through his art met such a fate. What strikes me the most is how public and bold this shooting was, taking place in the middle of the day. It makes you wonder about the fear and boldness of the person or people responsible. It's terrifying to think such violence can erupt in a place meant for peace and wellness, like the Manchester Wellness Center. In times like these, I'm holding his family and friends in my thoughts, wishing them strength and justice. If anyone knows more about his work or has personal stories to share, I'd love to read them. Keeping the conversation going might just help someone come forward or lead to a breakthrough in the investigation. Stay safe, everyone.
