I keep thinking about how young Will was and how he had his whole life ahead of him, not to mention a little one to watch grow up. It's so incredibly tough to hear about families getting torn apart like this. The fact that the police are calling this a possible drive-by shooting just adds another layer of tragedy to it all.
Does anyone locally know anything more about the area where this happened? I'm curious about whether it's known for this kind of violence or if this was totally out of the blue. Maybe someone who lives nearby or knows something about the usual happenings around Capitol Drive can shed some light.
My heart goes out to Will's family, especially his child. I hope they find the person responsible soon and bring some kind of justice to his loved ones. Thinking of everyone touched by gun violence today.
I was reading about William Brooks and just felt the need to share my thoughts. I can't wrap my head around how senseless this violence is. Is it common for incidents like this around North 39th Street and West Capitol Drive? I've heard about drive-by shootings but never thought about how they really impact a family until now. It really puts into perspective just how fragile life can be. I hope the community can come together to support his family and that the investigation finds a breakthrough soon. Has anyone heard anything new from the police or local news?
