It’s unsettling to think about what Jason’s family must be going through right now. I’ve been to Coyote Joe’s a few times—it’s always been a place for good times and no drama. But reading about his murder sends chills down my spine. It’s truly terrifying how life can change in the blink of an eye, right in a spot where many of us have laughed and danced. With so much happening in Charlotte that weekend, it’s hard to wrap my head around the spike in violence. My thoughts are with Jason’s family as they navigate the dreaded aftermath of losing a loved one in such a senseless manner. I hope justice is served, not only for their peace of mind but also to deter those who think violence is the answer. Has anyone from the community stepped forward with statements, or are there any theories on what might have led to this? Crime Stoppers is always there, but the additional strengths of community insights could be vital.

I grew up in Charlotte and have been to Coyote Joe’s more times than I can count. Hearing about what happened there really struck a chord with me. It's always been a place for fun and laughter, and now it’s tied to such a tragic event. My heart goes out to Jason Lamar Neal's family and those who cared about him. I can't imagine what they're going through right now. Seeing another life lost to gun violence hits hard, especially in a city I call home. It’s scary to think how these things can happen so close to places you associate with good memories. I hope this tragedy compels more people to speak up and share anything they know with the authorities. If you were there or know someone who was, please consider reaching out. We can’t let this become another statistic; Jason deserves more than that. Rest in peace, Jason. Stay strong, Charlotte. Let’s hope for justice.
