Has anyone else noticed how deeply this wave of violence is affecting the entire Oakland community? Allen Collins' tragic death is a stark reminder of how senseless shootings are tearing apart families and affecting everyone. I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through right now, not to mention the fear and anxiety among residents. It's terrifying to think that these incidents can happen so randomly and without warning. I hope that the spotlight on this violence will lead to real change in terms of safety measures and community support. Oakland deserves to be a place where its residents feel safe and secure. Thinking of everyone who loved Allen and hoping for a time when these senseless acts are a thing of the past.
