Has anyone else been following Jonathan Sorensen's case and feeling utterly disturbed by the lack of accountability? It’s genuinely baffling how this incident, which happened in broad daylight, has not led to any charges against those employees. I can't imagine the pain his family must still be going through every single day. The fact that Jonathan was pleading and scared just breaks my heart. It’s horrifying to think that someone could go through something so tragic simply because of suspected shoplifting. I hope there’s a renewed effort to bring justice through awareness or perhaps even policy changes to prevent this from happening again. It feels like we, as a community, need to keep talking about Jonathan’s case to prevent such tragic losses in the future. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about how the incident at the Albuquerque Kmart turned so tragic for Jonathan Sorensen. It's been haunting me how someone can lose their life over such a minor issue like alleged shoplifting. I keep coming back to the idea that these loss prevention officers were probably trained more to protect merchandise than to prioritize a person’s wellbeing. It makes me wonder about the kind of training these employees receive and if these situations can be prevented with better guidelines. Can we focus on developing ways to balance protecting businesses and ensuring the safety and dignity of individuals? It’s just so upsetting that Jonathan’s family is left without answers or justice, and the community is mourning a young life that ended too soon. Sending strength to all who knew him.
