I’ve been following Joshua Fowlkes' case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the whole situation with the bystanders during the confrontation. It's troubling to think that this argument escalated to the point of gunfire in a public space, putting others at risk too. How do we, as a community, not notice the warning signs until it's too late? Reading about how people are left grappling with what occurred, I can only imagine the emotional toll on the witnesses who were there that night. Hoping that they, along with Joshua’s friends and family, find some peace as the investigation continues. It’s vital that we support each other in times like these and keep pushing for positive change in our neighborhoods.
