Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Fnu Bahishta from San Antonio? I've been thinking a lot about how gun violence can have such devastating, unintended consequences. It's just so hard to fathom how an argument between two brothers could escalate to the point where someone totally unrelated to the situation ends up losing their life.
The silence from witnesses early on really struck me, too. It feels like there’s this painfully slow crawl toward justice when nobody wants to talk, even when an innocent person has been killed. I can't imagine the frustration and helplessness Bahishta's family must feel, knowing that their loved one was taken in such a senseless way and then facing silence from those who might help find answers.
For those who've been following, do we know if there’s been any progress since the initial arrest? It’s just one of those tragic reminders of how actions in the heat of the moment can ripple out and affect so many lives. My heart goes out to everyone touched by this.
