Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions around the time Felicito went missing? When people are crossing the border on foot, especially in April, the desert temperatures can be brutal. If it was anything like what I’ve read about similar cases, the heat might have really affected him, especially since they were walking for such long stretches without much rest. I wonder if the rising temperatures had any role in him getting sick in the first place. Does anyone know if there was a heatwave during that time in 2011? It could offer some explanation for why he wasn’t able to continue. It's so worrying that situations like this can turn so dire so quickly in such harsh environments.
