Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading up on the tragic case of Anthony Cristobal, and something that really stood out to me is the involvement of the security guard, Luisadolfo Mena. It seems like an incredibly intense and chaotic situation for a commissioned security guard to be caught in. I can't imagine the pressure he must have felt needing to make split-second decisions amidst such a violent encounter. It makes me wonder what kind of training security personnel receive for moments like this and how they cope afterward.
Obviously, the focus here should be on getting justice for Anthony and supporting his loved ones, but I'm curious about how incidents like these impact those who find themselves in the middle trying to deescalate the situation. Does anyone have insights or experiences about the aftermath for security guards or what kind of support they get following incidents involving gunfire? I feel for everyone affected by this senseless violence.
My thoughts go out to Anthony's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
