It’s devastating to read about the children who were involved in this tragic incident and witnessed such unthinkable violence. It's hard to imagine the trauma they must be experiencing now, having lost both parents in such a horrific manner. These kids have been through something that will follow them for a long time, and I hope they receive the support and counseling they need to heal and find some semblance of normalcy again. The community needs to rally together to support these young ones, both emotionally and practically, as they face an uncertain future. It’s heartening to see local organizations stepping up, but it never feels like enough.
