I've been following Lonnie Montgomery's case and wanted to discuss something that's just been weighing heavily on my mind. It's been a rough couple of weeks, and I can't stop thinking about his family, especially his son. Losing a parent at such a young age is a loss no child should have to endure. My heart goes out to his entire family, but especially to a little boy who won't have his father by his side for those important years ahead.
From everything shared, Lonnie sounded like such a thoughtful, caring man who found joy in simple, everyday moments—like sharing laughter over card games or spending time with his young relatives. It’s infuriating that someone would senselessly end the life of someone who brought so much love and light to others.

I can't stop thinking about the context in which Lonnie was killed. To be sitting in his car, ready to start work for a rideshare app, just trying to do right by his family—it’s just so unfair. This was supposed to be a routine morning for him, a simple step in supporting his son and creating a future. It's chilling to think that for all his careful planning and love for his family, his life was stolen in an instant at that intersection. Lonnie’s loved ones deserve answers and justice.
