Has anyone else noticed the growing issues around these "auto sear" devices in Richmond lately? I was reading about Leon Bowling's tragic death, and it got me thinking about how prevalent these modified firearms have become. It’s terrifying to think that a young artist from Richmond High School for the Arts, someone who was still in the prime of his youth, got caught up in something so dangerous. It’s easy to point fingers, but what are we doing to stop these devices from getting into the hands of young people?
I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through. The community lost someone who probably had so much potential, and it's a stark reminder of how firearm modifications are impacting our neighborhoods. This isn't just on the police to solve; it needs to be a community effort. Does anyone know if there's a support system for Leo’s family and friends? How can we help prevent such tragedies in the future?
