Has anyone else been following the details about the grass marks at the apartment complex? I find it so disturbing to think that Jake might have been attacked elsewhere and then moved. It’s like a chilling scene from a crime show, but it’s very real, and it happened to someone who just served his country and was working hard to support his family. My heart goes out to his loved ones; I can’t imagine the pain of trying to piece together what happened in his final moments. Such violence over robbery is senseless. I'm relieved that the investigation led to the young suspects, but it’s tragic on all fronts, especially for Jake and what he endured. I hope justice is served, and the family can find some peace amidst all this tragedy.
