Wow, I’m still trying to wrap my head around what happened to I'Keyona on that stretch of highway. Such a senseless tragedy. It really bothers me that this kind of violence is happening on roads meant to get us safely from one place to another. I’ve driven that route countless times, and this has definitely changed how I feel about being on those roads at night. I hope this spurs city officials to take measures that ensure the safety of everyone driving in Memphis. On a more personal note, I can't stop thinking about her family. Reading the posts about how much she meant to everyone is just gut-wrenching. I'Keyona seemed like someone who truly brought light into the lives of those around her. The stories from her friends paint a picture of someone who lived life with joy, kindness, and warmth. I genuinely hope they find the person responsible soon, not just to get justice for I'Keyona, but to give her loved ones a semblance of peace in knowing that those responsible will be held accountable.
