Has anyone else been absolutely floored by how quickly Devin Mason had just graduated and then faced this tragic fate? It’s so devastating to think about how he began his career with so much promise and commitment, only to have it cut short in such a violent way. I can't even begin to imagine what his colleagues and family must be going through right now. He made it his mission to protect and serve, and now they’re left to honor him by continuing that mission without him. I hope they find strength in each other during this unbelievably difficult time. It's cases like this that remind us of the real risks our officers take every single day.
