Has anyone else been thinking about the role technology played in the quick apprehension of Chevel Cottonwood in Winston Billie’s murder? It seems like the Navajo Police, with assistance from the FBI, really leveraged tech effectively here. The use of a drone to locate Cottonwood hiding in the bushes is particularly striking. Imagine how much longer it might have taken to find him without that? I can’t help but wonder what was going through Cottonwood's mind while he was hiding. Did he think he’d be able to get away? The sheer desperation of the situation is just palpable. I'm grateful that technology was used to bring a bit of justice to Winston’s family so swiftly. It's never going to bring Winston back, and my heart goes out to his loved ones for their loss, but it's reassuring to see that law enforcement is using every tool at their disposal to crack down on violence like this in the community. Thoughts?
