Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Anthony Harris, the young man shot at that convenience store on Ann Arbor Avenue. I saw some folks were curious about the area and thought I'd share some thoughts since I lived nearby for a while. The store where it happened is kind of a neighborhood staple, not any different from thousands of other little shops across the country. It’s usually pretty laid back there, busy with people from the community stopping by for their late-night snacks or grabbing smokes. It's tragic to think that this familiar place for many people became the scene of such a horrific event. I can't imagine the shock the local community must be feeling, let alone Anthony's family and friends. Has there been any talk about more street lights or surveillance in that area, especially considering what happened? It’s crushing how gun violence can change the landscape of a community, and it feels like there’s still no leads or anything - it’s truly unsettling. Let’s keep Anthony’s family in our thoughts and hope we see justice soon. Stay safe, everyone.
