It's so incredibly sad to see how unexpected and senseless acts of violence can take someone away in an instant. The location of where this happened really sets my mind racing. I often drive along I-26, and it's frightening to think that something like this could occur in such a seemingly ordinary setting. It’s a reminder of how unpredictable life is. I read that local campuses were briefly locked down during all of this. My heart goes out to all the students and staff who had to experience that fear and uncertainty. I can't imagine the chaos and confusion during that time. Credit to the authorities for their quick response and coordination across various agencies—it's clear a lot of effort went into ensuring everyone’s safety. Let's not forget the life Rose Helen Kewlani had—the legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew her. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. If anyone has more memories or stories to share about Rose, I’m sure it would mean a lot to her loved ones and help paint a fuller picture of the wonderful person she was.
