I’ve been following this case closely, and it’s just so difficult to wrap my head around what happened to Nelson. I keep thinking about his little boy and the baby on the way. It's devastating to think about them growing up without their father. I read about the vigils his family held, and you can see how much he meant to those around him. His presence clearly brought warmth to others.
What keeps striking me is how everything can change in an instant. A stolen white Honda and two strangers with guns devastated a family forever. Was anyone else shaken by how swiftly violence unfolded that night? I truly hope someone comes forward soon. With that $20,000 reward out there, maybe it will encourage somebody who knows something to speak up and help his family find some justice. It’s small compared to what they’ve lost, but they deserve to know who did this. My thoughts go out to them; I can’t imagine how hard this must be. Stay strong.
